Repair Technician - Furniture

What you will be doing
- Efficiently and practically identify and correct defects or damages to the furniture
- Methodically plan for the repair of wood, leather, upholstered, or any other type of household furniture
- Maintain a neat and safe work environment, ensuring to follow all Kaiyo safety protocols
- Work in a fast-paced environment with clearly communicated time and quality targets
- Restore both functional and visual deficiencies of all furniture types
- Possess the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management
Requirements:
- Two years of experience repairing a wide range of furniture including wood, leather, and upholstered furniture
- Being adaptable to unique repair jobs of any type of household furniture
- Being practical with available tools and materials and having an eye for aesthetics, making sure that the final repaired product looks the part as well as being structurally and functionally sound
- Having skills including but not limited to color matching & blending, wood repairs including wood filling, staining, and broken pieces, leather repairs including scuffs, holes, and tears, upholstery repairs and sewing, and structural repairs
- Attention to detail and meeting quality standards
- Proficiency to confidently and safely use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift
- Able to follow directions, manage time, work independently or within a team
